These credits span over a decade across four roles: producer, songwriter, recording/mixing/mastering engineer and band member in the UK independent music scene. My longest-running collaboration is with Blanco White — beginning with the Tarifa LP on Nettwerk Music Group, covering co-writing, co-production, session musicianship and live performance, and continuing across singles since.
Before Blanco White, I was a founding member of Nubiyan Twist — eight years of touring, recording and building the band across their Wormfood and Strut Records catalogue. Session work for Malena Zavala came out of that same world. Independent artist projects came next — full-chain production for Lea Kay and co-production for Jansen Santana. A lyric co-writing credit on Blue Note Records / EMI's Blue Note Re:Imagined II followed. Production commissions then: three tracks for Red Bull's Break the Mould series and the Quirk of the Perc EP for BMG's sync catalogue via Northern Hawk Media. Goodbye_Bethany's album — produced, co-written and mixed — is finished but not yet officially released. Currently I'm producing two debut albums: Keyla Sou's — contemporary Afro-Brazilian music rooted in terreiro percussion, sacred femininity and racial consciousness — and Gustavo Manoel's, a first-person narrative about growing up being gay in Bahia's sertão, blending MPB, baião, bossa, bolero and carimbo.
